Während sich deutsche “Vorurteilsforscher” rund um das Berliner Zentrum für Antisemitismusforschung mit den historischen und aktuellen Parallelen zwischen dem Antisemitismus und der Islamophobie beschäftigen, findet zufällig in Norwegen eine Road Show statt, deren Hauptdarsteller kein Antisemit sein will, obwohl er lupenreinen Antisemitismus absondert. So was kommt auch in Deutschland immer öfter vor, wo inzwischen nicht der Antisemitismus, sondern der “Antisemitismusvorwurf” zu einer tödlichen Gefahr stilisiert wird.

Auslöser der norwegischen Affäre war ein Witz, den der Komiker Otto Jespersen erzählt hatte, um an die “Milliarden von Fliegen und Läusen” zu erinnern, die ihr Leben in deutschen Gaskammern verloren hatten, obwohl sie sich nichts haben zuschulden kommen lassen, außer dass sie sich bei “Personen mit jüdischem Hintergrund eingenistet hatten”.

Der Witz ist ziemlich hart, aber nicht per se antisemitisch. Es kommt auf das Objekt des Spottes an. Ginge es darum, sich über Tierschützer und Tierrechtler lustig zu machen, die z.B. gegen den Einsatz von “unschuldigen” Eseln beim Sprengstoffattentaten protestieren, wäre er sogar gut. Der Witz ist antisemitisch, weil derjenige, der ihn erzählt, ein Antisemit ist. Er spielt mit allen Elementen des Antisemitismus, bis hin zu der Unterstellung, sein “Mut” könnte ihn sein Leben kosten, auch dies eine bekannte Antisemiten-Nummer, mit deren Hilfe jeder komatöse Rentner sich zum Helden aufplustert.

Hier der Bericht der JPost über die Affäre:
“I would like to take the opportunity to remember all the billions of fleas and lice that lost their lives in German gas chambers, without having done anything wrong other than settling on persons of Jewish background,” Otto Jespersen joked during a November 27 routine on national television.

On December 4, on the same Norwegian TV show, according to the London-based Academic Friends of Israel group, Jespersen presented a satirical monologue on anti-Semitism that ended with, “Finally, I would like to wish all Norwegian Jews a Merry Christmas – no, what am I saying! You don’t celebrate Christmas, do you!? It was you who crucified Jesus.”

Aftenbladet, a Norwegian newspaper, reported earlier this month that a Jewish man who lost nine family members to the Holocaust filed a “report” against Jespersen, but did not make clear what the repercussions of such a report might be.
Jespersen is notorious in Norway for his guerrilla comedy; he burned an American flag on air once in “support” of the Iraq war; another time, he burned a Bible and added that he would not repeat the stunt with a Koran because he wanted to live longer than a week.

Fellow comedians defended him after the Holocaust complaint.

“It was clear satire,” said one, Johan Golden, according to Aftenbladet.

Another, Henrik Elvestad, said he did not see the monologue, but in general: “At other times when there have been controversies about Otto, such as the flag-burning episode, I have always been on Otto’s side. I think he is well within limits.”

Jespersen was also backed by his TV boss, the newspaper said: “The claim that Jespersen has antiSemitic sympathies is completely false. I don’t believe it. Otto Jespersen is trying to make a point in these monologues, and the text should be judged in context. It shouldn’t be taken in isolation”, the channel’s director was quoted saying, although he acknowledged that some might be offended. http://www.pressdisplay.com/pressdisplay/de/viewer.aspx (Page 5)

Da hat der Programmdirektor mehr als Recht. Der Satz sollte im Zusammenhang gesehen werden. Jespersen verbrennt die US-Fahne und auch eine Bibel, würde so etwas aber mit dem Koran nie tun, weil er genau weiss, dass so eine Tat selne Lebenserwartung drastisch verkürzen würde.  Progressive deutsche Künstler, von Brunos Jonas über Hans Haacke bis Harald Schmidt, verhalten sich genauso. Nur: sie fallen auch nicht über Juden her, wissend, dass so was mehr als wohlfeil wäre.

Anders dagegen Jespersen, der ein Antisemit vom Scheitel bis zum Schnürsenkel ist. Hier der komplette Monolog vom 4. Dezember:

“As is known, I have provoked some Jews lately. Now, I’m not so stressed about the charges themselves, but I am very worried that the insulted parties might have good contacts in Israel.

“I obviously know how Israelis react when they dislike someone in this country. In 1973 they sent agents from the Israeli intelligence organization Mossad in order to get rid of a guy here in Norway. They shot the wrong man, namely an innocent waiter in Lillehammer. And with this screw-up fresh in mind, I am worried now that someone who looks like me will have to suffer because of what I have said…

“But let it be totally clear: It was never my intention to hurt any of you Jews. But now that a couple of you are trying to destroy my Christmas spirit with Nazilabels and police charges, I feel it is about time that I generate some clarity concerning my relation to you. First of all: I am not an antiSemite… nor am I a Semite. But perhaps something in the middle?

“Secondly: I have no reason to hate Jews in particular. I am equally irritated with all peoples regardless of race or religion.

“In all honesty, I have hardly met any Jews. But I suspect this will change, now that the financial crisis is in progress. Because just like many others I suppose I will soon also have to go to the pawnbroker.

“Lately, there has been a lot of talk about growing anti-Semitism here in Norway. Forces in Israel, in fact, claim that we are one of the most Jew-hating nations in the world.

“But when it comes to you Norwegian Jews, I don’t think you are even in the competition for appearing to be the most haunted minority in this country. You are not even among the top 10, at least not on my hate list. You will have to put up with being beaten by parking guards, real estate agents and phone sellers…

“I do not think that most people in Norway have something against Jews. But I do know that people oppose the apartheid-state Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. You have declared yourself the masters of the Middle East and couldn’t give a damn about international conventions. You have built an entire wall around the whole West Bank. And though you are fond of banging your heads against the Wailing Wall so the skittle is pouring, it does not follow that the Palestinians think it is as much fun to spend their work day standing and butting their heads on steel and concrete. When, strictly speaking, they should have been on the other side taking care of their fields.

“Okay. I do understand that you Israelis become a bit heated when you come to forcefully make claim to the houses of Palestinian inferiors, and they are so rude as to resist. Then it is understandable that you get phantom pains in the foreskin…

“Some neo-Nazis and radical Muslims might be sitting out there now, wetting their pants, thinking: ‘Now we got Otto on our team.’ Forget it! Bearing in mind that it takes 30-40 of you to achieve an IQ equaling that of one average Jew, unfortunately I do not think we will be best friends in the near future.

“Finally, I would like to wish all Norwegian Jews a Merry Christmas… No, what am I saying! You don’t celebrate Christmas, do you!? It was you who crucified Jesus.”

Es gibt keinen Antisemiten, der sich am Ende nicht mehr dafür interessieren würde, was der Jude in der Hose als im Hirn oder auf dem Konto hat . Nicht, dass die Juden vor fast 2000 Jahren Jesus gekreuzigt haben, macht den Antisemiten wütend, nicht dass sie das Christentum, den Marxismus, die Psychoanalyse und die Relativitätstheorie erfunden haben, sondern die Angst vor der vermuteten sexuellen Überlegenheit des Juden. So findet auch jeder lobotomierte, an geistiger und physischer Phimose leidende Antisemit die Stelle, von der aus er die Welt erklären kann. Ein Schmock, wer ihm dabei Böses unterstellt.

Es war das christliche Blatt “Magazinet”  http://www.dagenmagazinet.no/, das die Mohammed-Karikaturen aus Jyllands-Posten als einzige norwegische Zeitung nachdruckte, doch was nachher geschah, war eine Schande. Der zuständige Redakteur wurde in das Büro des leitenden Ministers der norwegischen Regierung gebracht und so lange mit Drohungen und Horror-Szenarien von Norwegens Untergang bedrängt, bis er unter Tränen nachgab und eine Entschuldigung an die “Umma” ins Blatt nahm. Norwegen war also das erste Land, das die Karikaturen nachdruckte, aber dann schien es plötzlich so ,  als ob nichts gewesen wäre.
